Well, recently, i'm feeling kinda weird.
It's about a realization I feel now.

I know it's lame, I know im in college so i don't have to feel this way.

You know the feeling of emptiness when your friends are not around?
Have you felt being alone in a class where you don't know your classmates?

I do.
Last semester, it was tough for me to be in my English 111 and 112 honor's class.
My classmates were from other courses, so it was very hard to deal with them. Of course, it was my first semester in college, i hardly know anybody, even in my own course(BSIT program), it was still a discovering stage for me. I had a few highschool classmates w/ me in that class. But they were of the Accounting course. Everytime we had a group report or presentation, I was one of the minority who was left behind.

While my other subjects are with my co-BSIT students, i never felt that I was alone or i'm different from them. We walk in groups, talk in the library or at the canteen. We rarely go to the backfield, but when there comes a time, we usually sing and record our funny voices onour cellular phones. Those were happy days.

Until..

Well, now, i feel some kind of prejudice. ugh. is that the right term?

It's from some group of people over there.
We used to be a group, but now, it looks like were different..
i mean, a couple of us.

"Kunsabagay, kung gusto nilang unang umuwi o magsama sa isang scheduled class, it's fine,
but when they need me, ok. imma out of GASS. grr. "

KSP. KSP. epal.epal.
taht's me. ayt? TAHT's me!

- it really feels good when you can express yourself.
Thanks to the power of blog!

DARA,MINZY,CL,BOM

They are the newest all-girl group from South Korea. Known before as 21 or female big bang, this group has made its way to stardom by their songs Lollipop(w/ BIGBANG) and Fire.
When I first knew about this group, I was very happy because one of the members "DARA" is an ex-artist here in the Philippines.
Winner of the first batch of SCQ search, Sandara Park, is a typical korean girl who lived here in the Philippines for quite a while. Acoording to stories on TV, Sandara and her Family moved in the Philippines because his father has a family business here.

Being a korean, it was very hard for Sandara Park and her family to adjust in the Philippines, she only knew few tagalog words, but learned eventually, after becoming a temporary star here in the Philippines. Years later, the family moved back to Korea, and there were no news about her.

Her comeback being a singer and dancer is good news. I saw her videos and she improved so much about herself. She is very good in dancing and in singing.
I hope she will have a fruitful career in the future.

The World rejoiced for Barack Obama. The first African-American to be President of the USA--the most powerful country in the World.

Despite its overpowering tendencies, the USA remained one of the least corrupt countries in the world.(:World Bank)

and one distinct characteristic of the USA is their political status.

Now, let me tell you how I admire the USA in terms of Politics.

Unlike in the Philippines, grunges from the Presidential Elections in particular remain silent and unnoticed.

In simpler terms: pagkatapos ng eleksyon, tanggap nila ang kanilang PAGKAPANALO at PAGKATALO.

Notice in the recent elections, candidates, even those who run in the lower position, cannot accept their defeat.

Yes, there are many reasons like:

"nadaya sila" o "may mali sa pagbilang ng boto" o " napolitika sila"

.. and this makes our political situation already a CULTURE that is difficult to remove.

My point with this case is that:

The Philippines will never improve and develop if we have this kind of Culture.
We always complain about our System of Government.

But we need to realize the things that is happening in our Politics today.

We need to scrutinize every detail before we complain.

The world rejoiced for Manny Pacquiao's victory over Ricky Hatton.
No doubt about that.
It was a very good fight, until..

It is a custom for every boxing match to have their own National Anthems sung by their respective constituences, This year was quite an issue for Manny Pacquiao because it was the first time that a male singer (MARTIN NIEVERA) was the one who sung the National Anthem.
Unlike the past few years, the singer was always a female.

Adding to the issue is how Martin Nievera sung the national anthem.
For those who have viewed the match, it was clear that Mr. Nievera placed a different tune to the Philippine National Anthem.
He had his own rendition of "Lupang Hinirang" and the National Historical Institute" of the Philippines did not like it.

It is against the Philippine Flag Law to change the tune of the Philippine National Anthem, and everyone must retain the original tune by its composer/arranger.

In the news, Mr. Nievera had explained that Mr. Pacquiao was the one who asked him to sing, and he did it because of artistic freedom.
(see this site for full article: http://www.pep.ph/news/21688/Martin-Nievera-on-National-Anthem-controversy:-%22Hindi-ko-naman-binastos-yung-kanta.%22)

Yes. We have freedom.
We can do anything we want, but with that kind of perception, we are actually trying to impose here that Laws and Rules are nothing but crap! or can i say, a junk?

- The national anthem was meant for everyone to hear.
It is against our law to make our own rendition of the song.
Let's think of preserving our history in the way it was made.

Personally, I was shocked after listening to Nievera's rendition of the "Lupang Hinirang", it was until the logo of the NHI was flashed in the screen, that I felt ok with his rendition. But, according to the NHI, there was no permission from them, they didn't know.

Well, I must say, that if this is the case, many Filipinos could also make their own rendition of the song. Mr. Nievera, hindi biritan ito.. hindi concert. Ano ngayon if your an american citizen? If di mo pala mapanindigan yung pagiging Filipino, sana nagbackout ka na lang..

Pero don't get me wrong, I idolize him. He's a good performer, but pls, wag kang mapride, make a public apology.

We don't want the youth to make diff. renditions of the song. Coz in the end, if we cannot be united by having one song, how can we be united at heart?

No offense made.

It's still May, but everyone is not feeling the heat.

It seems that the summer vacaton has already left us, and Mr. Typhoon is getting into the way.

If Mr. Typhoon is just human, I would call him "EPAL!"
It's very discouraging that the weather in the country is becoming worse.
Recently, Typhoon "Emong" destroyed many towns in some provinces in Northern Luzon. Even Metro Manila and other parts of the country have experienced rainfall.

Seemingly and Surprisingly, despite the dilemma, the Filipinos are still making its way to having a good summer. Students in particular make efforts "para maging sulit ang natitirang bakasyon".

With this phenomena happening, few people consider this as one of the problems our earth is facing today.. Climate change.

Facing this dilemma is hard, but we need to adjust. In the end, it is we, who will pay the price.

SUPER PROXY

Refrain:
[Ito/Ako] ang kailangan mo
Idial lang ang telepono
Isaksak lang ang modem niyo.

Chorus:
Hindi na dapat maghirap
Sa iisang iglap ang buhay ay sasarap
‘Wag nang mag-atubili kumuha ng
Superproxy

Ako ay kaibigan na lagi mong maasahan
Umulan man o umaraw ay nariyan ‘pag kailangan mo
Ito ay special offer sa mga taong katulad mo
Gamitin ang iyong bulsa para guminhawa

[Refrain]

[Chorus]

Ako ang bahala sa ‘yo
Ang buhay mo ay buhay ko

[Chorus]

Francis Magalona

Come & take a sip from the cup as the drink makes you think
Don’t blink ‘coz you’ll be taken out by the pen & ink
Superproxy, why don’t y’all just talk to me
My rhyme be stickin to ya head like epoxy
This is how it should be done, ‘coz this rhyme is identical to none
3 Stars & a sun in one sky so high, one-nine-nine-five until we die
We on a mission to surf & ride the waves all the way to cyberspace we gonna stay
We on a mission to surf & ride the waves all the way to cyberspace uhhh

Ely Buendia

And so it was without a fuss we kill the buzz
Surrounding this delusional, irrational thing we call massive entertainment
Time to return the favor kick out the jams with the freeman flavor
Take it from Survivor, the search is over
I’ve found the best forget the rest
Erase it, replace it but never duplicate it
‘Coz intstitutions are boring there’s no substitute for the real thing

Francis & Ely

... I ubber LALOVE this song.

It reminds me of the late Philippine rapper Francis M.(Francis Magalona).

This is the last song he composed and recorded with Eraserhead vocalist(now w/ the PUPIL band) Ely Buendia. Although Francis M. wasn't able to reach until the release of this album, Ely was fortunate to pursue this album.

Wherever you are Francis M.

We will miss you.

.. and we still are.
